CLD Instructional Approaches

Instructors of CLD learners have several models of instruction or theoretical approaches from which they can develop plans to meet the needs of their culturally and linguistically diverse students as well as their grade-level students during each unit of instruction. This toolkit provides links for the primary approaches to CLD instructional approaches. The approach, which most informs my instruction, is the ICB (integrated content-based approach), and I have included an article on that method in this toolkit, as well. Finally, I have included some 21st century resources in the ICB toolkit because 21st century education is so vital to providing diverse media and student-centered activities to the model.
